A production-ready, minimalist portfolio template built with Astro and Tailwind CSS v4, featuring a distinct Retro-Modern aesthetic.
Challenge
Many portfolio templates are either overly bloated with heavy JavaScript frameworks or too generic to stand out. Developers often spend more time stripping away unwanted styles than actually building their content.
Solution
Astro Retro UI provides a "clean slate" with a strong visual identity. By leveraging Tailwind CSS v4 and Astro's Zero-JS by default approach, the theme delivers a Lighthouse score of 100 while providing a high-end, structured component system that is easily customizable via global CSS variables. The main inspiration was the newly revamped Filament PHP website.
