The Challenge

Veike Salon Supplies, a premium beauty and cosmetic brand in Uganda, faced the obstacle of expanding their reach beyond physical borders without a robust digital infrastructure. They lacked a scalable eCommerce platform capable of managing complex product categories (from professional hair tools to skincare), handling secure online payments, and providing a seamless mobile-responsive experience for both salon professionals and beauty enthusiasts.

The Solution

I engineered a custom full-stack application using Laravel for a robust, secure API and React for a high-speed, dynamic user interface. By decoupling the frontend and backend, we achieved near-instant page transitions and a superior mobile shopping experience. To ensure enterprise-grade reliability, the entire system was deployed on AWS, leveraging its cloud infrastructure for superior uptime, data security, and the ability to scale resources based on seasonal shopping peaks.
